ACME-Sav-on/Cub/Jewel-Osco is pleased to offer you the opportunity to advance your patient care skills through our Community Pharmacy Residency Program. Jewel-Osco, an APhA/ASHP multi-site accredited program, offers three community pharmacy residencies in the greater Chicagoland area. A fourth site, at Cub Pharmacy, is located in Minneapolis. Our recent expansion to ACME-Sav-on offers one position in the Philadelphia area.

Residency Sites

Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy

Located in Downers Grove, Illinois, was established in 1991. This private institution is located near Chicago in Downers Grove, Illinois. The university offers a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program that emphasizes pharmaceutical care and pharmacy communications. Students are required to complete two years of prerequisite courses at another accredited college or university prior to being admitted to Midwestern's professional pharmacy program.

University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy

Located in the Illinois Medical District in downtown Chicago, was founded in 1859 as a private institution. This makes it the third oldest college of pharmacy with a continuos charter. In 1896, the college of Pharmacy joined the University of Illinois system. In addition, numerous graduate programs are offered in various specialty fields. The College offers joint PharmD/Ph.D and PharmD/MBA degrees.

University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy

The College of Pharmacy, the only school of pharmacy in Minnesota, offers its program at the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses. Founded in 1892, the College of Pharmacy educates pharmacists, engaging in research and practice to improve the health of the people of Minnesota and society. The college faculty is committed to delivering outstanding education, research and service. Faculty and students actively pursue interprofessional education and research opportunities with colleagues in nursing, health care administration, public health and medicine.

Temple University School of Pharmacy

Founded in 1901, Temple University School of Pharmacy (TUSP) is one of the oldest in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Located in North Philadelphia, Temple is the only pharmacy school in Philadelphia that is part of a health sciences center. Students and residents can draw upon the extensive resources, staff, and facilities of Temple University Hospital, the Medical and Dental Schools, the College of Allied Health Professions, and the new Temple University Children's Medical Center. Ready access to the University's new School of Podiatric Medicine in Center City provides a unique opportunity for cross-disciplinary learning in a comprehensive health care environment.
