SUPERVALU Pharmacists provide clinical services both within workflow and by appointment. Within workflow, pharmacists perform Integrated Services. These services include health screenings, immunizations and basic medication therapy management interventions. For appointment-based services, Clinical Specialists receive dedicated time each week to provide patient consultations. Our clinical specialists are trained in all clinical programs and even get to participate in newly developed services!

Clinical Specialists are specially trained SUPERVALU pharmacists who provide standardized appointment-based services. Services offered include diabetes education services, comprehensive medication therapy management services as well as Integrated Services like immunizations and health screenings. Having dedicated time available each week allows Clinical Specialists to schedule initial and follow up consultations with patients. Leadership opportunities exist within SUPERVALU Pharmacies Clinical Services Department! All pharmacists providing clinical services, including Clinical Specialists are supported by a local Clinical Point Person and Clinical Regional Coordinator. These leaders also work closely with the clinical programs management team to ensure that resources are available to help achieve patient care goals.
